Planning Process
The Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Department Citywide Parks Needs Assessment process is organized into six (6) main phases. The first three (3) are currently underway. The total process includes the following tasks:
Outreach Strategy, Establishment of an Advisory Group and Public Participation Plan Development
Implementation of Public Participation Plan and Advisory Group Meetings
Data Analysis and Conclusions
Facility/Program Review & Assessment (Contingent on funding)
Preliminary Draft Report, Recommendations and Draft Action Plan (Contingent on funding)
Final Report (Contingent on funding)
